BENEFICIARIES

Coaches’ Night Out continues the tradition of the UA Men’s Basketball program tipping off its season with a public celebration that supports important charities, most notably The Arizona Cancer Center.

Coaches Night Out has its roots in the Wildcat Dream Invitational, an event started in 1995 by UA basketball legend Steve Kerr, broadcast personality and Voice of the Wildcats Dave Sitton, and Sporting Chance Youth Basketball Founder Don Tringali.  Over time, the event has raised over a half a million dollars for a variety of important charities devoted to health, wellness and youth causes.

The beneficiaries of the 2011 Coaches’ Night Out are:

At the Arizona Cancer Center, our team of world-renowned physicians and scientists pursue a bold mission to prevent and cure cancer. With our compelling record of scientific breakthroughs, our tradition of providing compassionate patient care and our history of training outstanding physicians and researchers, we are uniquely positioned to shape the future of cancer care. Your support through Coaches’ Night Out will help keep the Arizona Cancer Center at the forefront of cancer research and education. The momentum of our actions today combined with your philanthropic support has the power to change lives. Thank you.

The Steele Children’s Research Center is the only place in Arizona where pediatric specialist-physicians and researchers work together to take care of children and find cures and treatments for their complicated illnesses.  Children across our community rely on the research and top-notch care that comes from the doctors and scientists at the Steele Center—in fact, last year children had more than 60,000 doctors’ visits with us.  Insurance is not enough to cover all the expenses associated with hard-to-treat illnesses.  The Steele Center depends on support from individuals and businesses to be able to provide this important specialty care in our community.

The Active 20-30 Club of Tucson has a distinguished and honored history as one of Arizona's most prestigious and active fund raising men's clubs. Since the club's inception, the men of Active 20-30 Club of Tucson have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars and dedicated thousands of hours to local children's charities. Tucson #82, along with the entire international organization in North and South America, continues to dedicate its fundraising to one of the fastest growing and weakest groups in our fast-paced society, underprivileged children.
